Cincinnati (home of Skyline Chili, Graeters, UDF, and Montgomery Inn BBQ)

Recently we took a short trip to Cincinnati to visit the D. family and attend an open house at their church!

Our sweet snack for the road was this dark chocolate with almonds and sea salt....you really should try it sometime!♥

Last-minute touch-ups

After the first worship service, we had lunch at Mr. V.'s

We enjoyed visiting with the ladies and Mumzie loved getting to hold baby K.!

Mr. S.D.

Good-bye, D. family! Wish we could have stayed at least two more days :)

On our way home, we stopped at one of our favorite grocery stores...Jungle Jim's!

I was amazed that I actually got all three of us in the picture! (ok...so it's not necessarily flattering....but at least we're all in there! :)

Cheers to Chick-fil-a, our last stop on the way home!

Thanks to Mr. S.D. who gave us some coupons, we were blessed to have two Chick-fil-a sandwiches for free!

Thanksgiving

For lunch on Thanksgiving day, we ate at Uncle L.'s and Aunt K.'s

Cousins Tom and Chris setting up the place cards. Aunt K. had everything set up so lovely!

Uncle L. helping set out the china

It was so fun working in Aunt K.'s beautiful renovated kitchen! Uncle L. and Aunt K. renovated almost the whole kitchen by themselves, and it turned out so lovely.

"...so I saw this shirt and thought 'that's such an awesome design right there' and I just had to buy it..." :D

"Have a taste, Mom" (Meg and Katie: yes, that is wassail! Yummy!)

FOOD

Eden kept saying that she wanted "pie" and was all excited about it...so we asked if she wanted pumpkin or cherry pie (pointing them out to her). She said "no", and kept insisting she wanted pie. Finally she pointed to the ReddiWhip and said "I want pie!"...she didn't want pie; she wanted ReddiWhip! :)

Can you tell who won? :)
