National Pancake Day

Did you know there is a National Pancake Day? (besides all of you IHOP fanatics who I am sure took advantage of their free pancake day :D) February 28th is said day, and the Morton's celebrated it by having our favorite pancakes (Mrs. D.'s recipe!) Breakfast food is welcome any time of day in our home, so we jumped at the opportunity to have pancakes yet again for dinner.

Hope this inspires you to enjoy some pancakes this week!

  1. Yiippeee!!!!!!!! I am so glad you posted the recipe! Yummmy!!!!

Despite having the copy you left at our house for several months I forgot to make my own...and missed it sorely! :(

    Love, KT

  2. I had no idea the 28th was National Pancake Day! Although I assure you, we could have easily joined in on a pancake breakfast any time of the day too!
Remember that time we met up at an IHOP while traveling? Poor Tayter with us five girls, "couldn't get a word in edge-wise"! Those were some fun times!

  3. Brittany~
We actually "celebrated" the day before (we just happened to plan on having pancakes on the 27th, and found out that the 28th was National Pancake Day :) I'm sure you could "celebrate" at a later time this week. :D
By the way, I think we met up at a Waffle House...yes, poor Tayter...he's had to put up with a lot having my sisters and I as "adopted sister" :)

  4. yummy! I'll have to let Brendan know as pancakes and spaghetti (although, not together) are his favorite meals!! by the way...I posted the recipe to that yummy dessert (turtle trifle)!! I'ts in the blog of G-ma's party :)

  5. You DID serve GRITS on the side, right?

  6. Mrs. Janet~
I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but no, we did not serve any grits. I guess we haven't been southern-ified enough yet! :)
